A photo the desk can actually use

Most wrong orders start with a photo of a part on its own. Scale is the whole point.

Calipers reading across the flange of a stainless tri-clamp ferrule — Jaws inside the bore, reading across the widest point. That number is worth more than any photo.

Put a ruler or tape in the frame. Flat against the part, same distance from the lens. A steel rule reads better than a cloth tape.
Shoot straight down on round parts. A gasket or ferrule shot at an angle turns into an oval and the ID reads short.
Liners: show the mouthpiece end-on. The bore at the lip is what we match. The barrel length helps too, so send a second shot side-on.
Pumps and regulators: photograph the plate. Close enough to read every character, in daylight, without flash glare. If the plate is gone, measure the impeller diameter.
Hose: measure the inside, not the outside. The ID is the size. Say whether you want it by the foot or as a full 100 ft coil.
Say what failed and how long it ran. Hours, or milkings on a liner. It tells the desk whether you need a new part or a different material.
